AAbout
Ideally located on the Riviera, near Montreux, between lake and mountains.
The title of FMH Specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery requires a double university degree in Medicine and Dental Medicine according to the Swiss training plan. Once these two medical titles are obtained, postgraduate training at a University Hospital of 6 years on average is required before being able to take the federal exam of specialist in Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Nathalie Portier-Marret, who obtained this specialist title in 2011, is able to handle a large number of problems related to the areas of the face, mouth and teeth. She can perform various surgical procedures related to jaw repositioning (orthognathic surgery), wisdom teeth, facial fractures and all procedures related to implant surgery (implants, bone grafts).
Facial pain, temporomandibular joint problems, or lesions of the oral cavity are also part of her area of expertise.
For some types of surgery, general anesthesia will be required or desired by the patient. Dr. Portier-Marret can offer you a treatment under general anesthesia in private clinic or hospital, depending on the type of surgery and your insurance coverage.
